The Conservative Club hosted a meeting last summer with the Beacon Center of Tennessee, an independent organization that addresses public policy at the state and local level.  Of concern is that Tennessee is one of four states that allow county elected officials to raise property taxes without a vote of the citizens. Also discussed was concerns about county spending and taxation.
